1:1 sessions are in support of a whole you.

Of you in this moment, this time and this space. Of you in your body, mind, and spirit. Of you as a whole person, including the unique experience of pregnancy, birth, and parenting.

So what does a 1:1 session look like?

When we meet, we have time for intake, drop-in, and setting a goal for the session, and then we can pick from one of the many tools I as a practitioner offer.

Some sessions may be full of movement, Pilates, and Yoga, some of these sessions may be more clinical in nature, with a focus on healing a physical challenge you may have going on, especially pertinent during pregnancy or postpartum recovery. Other sessions may have more of a coaching tone to help you navigate a choice in your pregnancy or help you move with more grace through a parenting hurdle. And yet others may be more in support of spiritual, emotional, or nervous system healing, supporting you through restorative practices and creating space for whatever is happening for you in life, right now, today, in this body and on this earth.

I have some clients I see 2-3 times a week, especially during significant life transitions like pregnancy and postpartum, where consistent support can be incredibly beneficial. These clients often enjoy a mix of strength training work, coaching, and restorative practices tailored to their unique needs during this transformative time.

    For individuals navigating the journey of trying to conceive, pregnancy, birth, and parenthood, frequent sessions can offer valuable support in managing physical discomfort, preparing for pregnancy and childbirth, and addressing emotional and spiritual needs. The regularity of sessions can help in cultivating resilience, confidence, and a sense of empowerment throughout this profound experience.

    On the other hand, I have other clients I see once a quarter when they want to check in, reset, or gain clarity around their body or their life. These sessions may be particularly useful for individuals seeking guidance as they navigate the various stages of pregnancy, prepare for childbirth, or adjust to the demands of new parenthood.

    The answer is, it really depends on your goals. If you are trying to get out of pain, prepare for birth, recover from birth, or create new habits or patterns, frequency is important for achieving results.

    Ultimately, the frequency of 1:1 sessions should align with your individual needs, goals, and preferences. Whether you require ongoing support or periodic check-ins, I'm here to support you on your journey toward greater well-being and empowerment, especially during the transformative experience of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood.

  • There is almost always a homework option - option being the key word! I understand that folks are often busy, working parents and that it is not always realistic to get homework completed. However, if you are someone that likes homework, I usually give up to 3 homework exercises. Many of the physical homework exercises are in our video homework library which you will get access to once you start 1:1 sessions.

  • This depends on the goals of our sessions. If our sessions tend to be more of a physical nature, I may request you purchase some materials.

  • If you need to cancel your session, we understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy in place, meaning that if you need to reschedule or cancel your session, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees.

    However, we also recognize that emergencies happen, including illness or natural or family emergencies, which may prevent you from providing advance notice. In such cases, please inform us as soon as possible, and we will work with you to reschedule your session at no additional cost.

    Our goal is to ensure that you receive the support and guidance you need while also respecting the time and commitment of our work. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our cancellation policy. If you have any questions or need to reschedule a session, please don't hesitate to contact us.

  • Each session is 55 minutes.

  • Yes, our sessions are always confidential. If you are working with a healthcare provider and would like me to share notes from our sessions with that provider so that we can collaborate on your plan of care, I will have you sign a release of information form before doing so. Also, please note that my email is not encrypted so if you have confidential information to share, please do so in session, and please be aware that you take full responsibility for any confidential information you choose to share in emails.
