Is Your Uterus Displaced?

When I first learned about the symptoms related to a displaced uterus, I thought “but so many people have so many of these symptoms! How many displaced uterus’s can there be?!”

Dr. Rosita Arvigo estimated that about 90% of women have a uterus that sits too low, and in about 75% of those cases, the uterus will be lying on the right side.

Why is this such a big deal, you ask?

👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Because if uterus is sub optimally placed, it cannot function in a state of homeostasis. The circulation, lymph, nerve function and physiological function will all be impaired. This can not only lead to uncomfortable or unwanted symptoms, it can also mean loss of function which impacts our hormones, our cycles and our fertility.

Here is a list of some of the common symptoms of a displaced uterus.

Menstrual Symptoms: painful, irregular, PMS, Blood clots, dark thick blood

Pregnancy Symptoms: chronic miscarriage, premature births, false pregnancies, cervical insufficiency, spotting, fertility challenges

Ovulatory Symptoms: Lack of, irregular or painful ovulation, PCOS, cysts.

Urinary Symptoms: Urinary frequency and urgency, bladder infections, incontinence.
